JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist with significant expertise in payroll administration. This role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll while also contributing to various HR functions such as employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This position is on-site and will report directly to the Human Resources Business Partner.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll Administration: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Maintain payroll records and employee information accurately and confidentially. Coordinate with finance and accounting departments to reconcile payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Recruitment: Creates job postings, actively recruits, and facilitates the hiring of job applicants for open positions in collaboration with department leaders.
Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and workers’ compensation. Process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and in a timely manner.
Compliance and Reporting: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Generate regular payroll reports for management review and analysis.
HR Support: Provide support to HR team members in various functions, such as recruitment, onboarding, and performance management. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a generalist capacity.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required
PAY TRANSPARENCY: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on the skill level, experience and or/education.
