The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Community Services/CAP, Housing, Library and Parks departments. This is accomplished by providing clerical and administrative support; conducting data entry; creating and maintaining specialized reports, coordinating special events and projects; making recommendations and solving complaints or problems; and all other duties specific to a department or discipline. Other duties may include providing reception coverage desk coverage; maintaining archived files; maintaining calendars, coordinating meetings and travel plans; purchasing supplies or equipment for department or division; creating newsletters, bulletins or fliers; serving as a Notary Public; interacting with other employees and citizens and related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or equivalent GED and three (3) years of office or customer service experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Valid Arizona Driver's License; Bilingual Spanish required. State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card Level I required upon hire.
Position will also support and work with youth and special events requiring evenings, weekends, and travel occasionally.
Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Working Conditions are in an office setting. Depending on assignment some travel may be required.
Closing Date: June 29, 2018 Hiring Salary: (B21) $18.31- $22.43 hourly D.O.E.
