Office Manager Job Description

Abiding Hope is seeking an energetic professional who has a passion for the local church and God’s mission in the world. We are looking for a team player experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Candidates should be friendly, well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a church office. This is a Full-time salaried exempt position, M-F 8:30am - 5:00pm (minimum of 40hrs/week) which will include occasional evenings and weekends.

The Office Manager will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures, to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and safety. The Office Manager is responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, office staff supervision and task delegation.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 based on experience


  • Oversee the day to day operations of the front office
  • Oversee and execute church database – must be able to train others on database
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures as necessary
  • Establish cross training for office team
  • Coordinate with IT on all office equipment
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers and facility users
  • Allocate tasks and assignments to subordinate(s) and monitor their performance
  • Responsible for building team of unpaid servants for office support as needed
  • Responsible for oversight of office budget
  • Lead and participate actively in the planning and execution of various staff and church events
  • All other duties as assigned


  • A Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of proven office management or administrative experience
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and database management. Familiarity with Church Community Builder a plus
  • Experience with graphic layout and design software to support our Director of Communications

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Office working conditions include extended periods of sitting and usage of a computer. Conditions may include occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, and employee must be able to lift or move up to twenty-five pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
