We are seeking a senior account executive to manage a territory in the midwest. You will be home-office based in Chicago. Our company is headquartered in Austin, TX.
Who you are
Senior sales executive with a focus on information technology, enterprise software, managed services and Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS).
Strategic thinker who has experience developing plans to target key accounts which includes internal collaboration with executives and engineering teams to leverage the right solution to the client.
Actively participate in the shaping of the Apogee footprint to be sold, financial construct and lead the sales engagement with an ability to pitch the big picture whilst being able to deep dive into details particularly during contract negotiations.
Experienced (10+ years) in complicated sales cycles, especially in a role that often requires knowledge of how state buying cycles and contracts work.
Consistent record of developing a deep network of clients within a managed services company or consultant environment.
Willing to travel up to 30% of the time or more as needed to achieve company goals.
What you’ll do:
Build your territory and generate revenue.
Cultivate deep long-term relationships with our clients (leaders at colleges and universities) and bring multiple decision-makers together.
Consult and guide University executives through strategies on building a connected campus that allows their strategic mission to thrive.
Strengthen Apogee’s value proposition across your territory by engaging in brand building and awareness activities (attending conferences, seeking out opportunities to connect with the client).
Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing with new and existing clients.
Achieve revenue targets.
Update internal systems and participate in team and strategy meetings.

Some important details about this job:
Location. This is a full-time role with Apogee. You will work from home, in either Chicago, IL or Indianapolis, IN.
Travel. This role will require about 30% within your region, with some travel annually to conferences, and team training events. The territory is Michigan and Indiana.
