Positions will support the Airplane Configuration & Integration (AC&I) organization within BCA Product Strategy & Future Airplane Development (PS&FAD). Multiple positions available, Primary location will be Mukilteo, WA but must be willing to work in Everett, Seattle or Renton, WA.

Successful candidate will demonstrate a can-do attitude, versatility, flexibility, and excellent communication skills as applied to aircraft design.
Participates in planning and performing synthesis of new and innovative conceptual/preliminary aerospace/aeronautical vehicles.
Developing vehicle configuration designs from customer requirements.
Multi-discipline trade studies to assess design space and concept viability.
Defines and proposes trade studies to design space, cost effectiveness and regulatory requirements.
Development of aerospace/aeronautical vehicle requirements (e.g., range, payload, operating and lifecycle cost).
Demonstrated capability in multi-disciplinary configuration optimization.
Estimates initial platform characteristics and evaluates using figures of merit, mission suitability and infrastructure compatibility.
Leads multi-disciplinary optimization trade studies to assess design space and concept viability.
Evaluates configuration alternatives based on engineering economic analysis (e.g., design approach, manufacturing approach, capital investment decisions, schedule alternatives).
Conducts platform sub-element trade studies to assess feasibility, risk, affordability, and competitiveness under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of aircraft performance in one or more of the following areas: aerodynamics, stability and control, propulsion, structures, or systems.
Experience with Multi-disciplinary Design, Analysis and Optimization, applied to aerospace vehicle product development
Experience participating in and leading multi-discipline engineering design activities
Experience developing computer software for configuration synthesis
Experience with the design for producibility, design for service and support and design for cost
Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
