Registered Nurse –Patient Experience Clinical Educator
Shift – Schedule: M-F 8-5 plus some evenings
Departmental DescriptionThis position is responsible for developing, leading and fostering a patient-centered culture that provides compassionate, coordinated, and exceptional care across the healthcare delivery continuum. The Clinical Educator will continuously assist with the innovation, implementation, and evaluation of transformational programs to enhance the delivery of care across all inpatient and outpatient settings. As a clear and consistent ‘voice of the patient’, the Clinical Educator regularly collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders, medical staff, departmental directors, and staff at all levels of the organization. The Clinical Educator reports to the Chief Experience Officer and regularly interacts with other members of the senior leadership team. The Clinical Educator leads efforts to achieve and maintain top 10% performance metrics when compared nationally.
The Clinical Educator works to develop and provide training to all front-line UMC nursing staff regarding the Patient Experience (i.e. Service, Quality, & Safety). They host and coordinate annual trainings and host the bi-annual “Always Nurse Event” developed to recognize front line nursing staff. Furthermore, this position serves as a mobile nurse strategically placed to support, guide, and collaborate with key leadership in the organization to enhance the patient experience.
Must maintain a current CPR certification from American Heart Association
Provides professional nursing care to patients and provides supervision and guidance to the members of the nursing staff.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
