Antioch Auto Center is seeking a highly motivated Head Cashier to join our team. The Head Cashier will be responsible for overseeing the cashiering team/operations at all our dealerships. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Processing cash and credit card transactions
- Daily balancing and ensure accuracy of transactions
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Preparing receipts records to the business office.
- Filling in as needed at cashier desks
Supervisory Responsibilities Include:
- Directly supervise cashiering team carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Interviewing and hiring cashier team members
- Training and guiding staff members in customer service, cash handling, and other applicable processes and procedures
- Planning and scheduling work assignments for cashiers; verifying all hours worked
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to team members including writing short correspondence
- Working closely with the Parts Department to resolve outstanding repair orders/invoices
- Ordering supplies as needed for the cashier desks
- Evaluating staff performance; addressing concerns, and taking action as needed: requesting correction of action, verbal, warning, write up, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in finance or business administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a cashier, preferably in an automotive dealership or retail environment
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in using cash registers and other point-of-sale systems
