Job Description:
Position Summary

This role has responsibilities in the following:
Design and develop complex real-time applications.
Deliver projects within budget and timeline.
Partner with the business to understand business need and provide the right amount of subject matter expertise.
Leverage offshore resources to keep each project affordable. Partner with other technical teams to provide a cohesive experience to the business and a well established system to the client.
Perform negative testing to make sure each application remains stable.
Enforce proper procedures and common methodology to promote consistent approaches.
Support quality improvements to all processes and deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle.
Work on various Microsoft technologies including Multi-threaded Services, Web application, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, Web Forms, AJAX, C#, Javascript, VSS and TFS.
Conduct memory and performance profiling of Windows / Web applications, code optimization and performance enhancements.
Provide solutions in field of Market Data, Market Data Symbology, Equities and Options. Develop XML/SOAP Web Services and .Net 3.0 WCF (Windows Communication Foundation).
Perform Code analysis using Nunit, fxcop, dottrace, memory profiler and loadrunner tools to identify potential performance and stability issues.

Required Skills
  • Skills and/or Experience with the following technologies-
C#, ASP.NET, C++, SQL Server, Scrum, XML, Ajax, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, VSS and TFS
TCP/IP programming and web services
Object oriented programming and object oriented analysis and design

Other requirements:
Experience leading projects with onshore and offshore teams
Experience with market data, equities, and options

Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. May have responsibility for a project and project budget. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience.
