Raytheon Applied Signal Technology has a need for a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain advanced high-capacity systems that process modern high-speed communications for the US intelligence community.
The successful candidate will work with other experienced engineering staff to develop and deliver cutting-edge engineering solutions for the protection of our country. The successful candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Training or experience in software development using a high-level programming language such as C++, Java, or Python.
Familiarity with developing in Linux/Unix environments
Experience working both in a team environment and individually
Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Understanding of software development process concepts including requirements, documentation, source control, and testing
Demonstrable experience developing applications on top of JSON-based, RESTful APIs.
Experience using Sass or Less, npm, and Node.js
Experience using version control or source code management tools
Understanding of telecommunications, data communications systems, and network protocols
Effective communication skills (i.e. Oral, Written & Listening)
Ability to work effectively on diverse multi-discipline teams
Required Education: BS degree with 2 years of experience in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other related field, or MS degree with 0 years of experience.
