Position Title: CFO of Client Services
The CFO of Client Services will play a key role in driving financial strategy by developing comprehensive sales pro forma statements and conducting in-depth cost and market analyses. This strategic role requires a deep understanding of finance, healthcare, and sales, and the ability to transform complex financial data into actionable insights that contribute to business growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Pro Forma Development:
Design and generate detailed sales pro forma statements to illustrate value to the company and potential partners.
Lead the Client Pro Forma development process for prospective HPM partner facilities, including:
- Training and coordinating facility data for Pro Forma Questionnaires
- Developing, validating, and presenting pro forma summaries to facilities
Financial Reporting:
- Provide critical financial information, such as CDMs and reimbursement analysis, to partner facilities and the HPM finance team.
- Conduct cost report analyses to uncover opportunities for financial improvement for both the company and its partners.
Market Analysis & Budgeting:
- Develop market analyses to identify potential HPM partner facilities.
- Collaborate with the HPM finance team to establish annual budgets for new facility additions.
Collaboration & Strategy:
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment of financial projections with overall sales strategies.
- Collaborate with partners to support pricing decisions, contract proposals, and partnership evaluations.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity in all financial reporting with potential partners.
- Stay updated on Medicare reimbursement rules, including those for Critical Access Hospitals, Rural Emergency Hospitals, and more.
- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in financial forecasting and reporting processes.
Review Contracts & NDAs:
- Review and make changes to NDAs and hospital contracts to ensure they are aligned with the sales goals set by the VP of Business Development.
Ongoing Optimization & Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to enhance financial forecasting and reporting processes, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
- Generate ideas for additional services that are profitable for HPM and our clients.
Performance Requirements
Maintain in-depth knowledge and ensure continual updates of HPM's pro forma tools.
Understand Medicare reimbursement rules for pain management services across different facility classifications, including:
- Critical Access Hospitals
- Sole Community Provider Hospitals
- Prospective Payment Hospitals
- Rural Emergency Hospitals
- Provider-Based Clinics
- Free-standing Clinics
- CRNA Pass-through Services at Critical Access Hospitals
Ensure compliance with Fair Market Value (FMV) standards and regularly reassess FMV for services in collaboration with the internal finance team.
Demonstrate knowledge of Healthcare Compliance Laws and their application to contract management and partnership agreements.
Identify and analyze market trends to support market development and growth opportunities for HPM and partnering facilities.
Review and make necessary changes to NDAs and hospital contracts to align with the sales goals set by the VP of Business Development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare financial analysis, with a focus on sales forecasting, pro forma financial modeling, and hospital cost reporting.
- Previous experience in Critical Access Hospital preferred.
- Expertise in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Proficient understanding of healthcare compliance laws.
- Strong knowledge of financial software, CRM systems, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage projects efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management capabilities.
