Position at ITW Professional Automotive Products Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversees all functional areas and activities related to the production operation (filling, packing, mixing, and receiving areas)
  • Monitors compliance with all Federal, State and Local Laws and restrictions, as well as ProAP’s policies and procedures
  • Addresses and meets all established quality and service goals for the production operation
  • Monitors and analyzes production information such as departmental expenses, scrap, performance, labor information, etc. by activity area, modifying processes/procedures as warranted to correct problems or inefficiencies
  • Supervises manufacturing staff which includes but is not limited to the following: interviewing/hiring, completing performance appraisals, documenting corrective actions, training, maintaining safe working conditions and employee development.
  • Analyzes and documents procedures for all production and mixing equipment, operations and processes to achieve consistency
  • Develops annual department budget
  • Works with various groups in the planning and implementation of capital to the current filling, packaging, mixing and /or receiving operations
  • Evaluate, initiate, recommend and implement process improvements in order to increase Blending, Maintenance, and Manufacturing efficiencies/effectiveness
  • Assist with the coordination of all maintenance throughout the Lakeland campus. Provides updates to the Operations Director on all MRO supplies (Maintenance, Repair, and Operating), must evaluate and make recommendations for equipment purchases.
  • Oversees the overall flow of materials and inventory throughout the plant, following established procedures to ensure product quality
  • Coordinates manufacturing cost reduction activities
  • Provide a safe and clean work environment for all. Establishes and implements good housekeeping policies and procedures. Coordinates with EHS Manager to establish and implement safety policies and procedures – includes safety issues and risk aversion
  • Recommends safety improvements as needed
  • Create/maintain an environment of open interactive communication and best practices sharing
  • Performs various other duties as necessary

  • Education and /or Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree with Operations, Engineering, or Business Management required, preferably with specialization in the chemical area.
  • At least 8-10 years’ experience in manufacturing and 5 years of experience in a chemical mixing and packaging environment highly desired.
  • Background in safety and environmental areas required.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience
  • Strong understanding of SPC, TQM principles and production scheduling required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills a must.
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge required.
  • Language Skills
  • Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.
  • Must recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • .Mathematical Skills
  • Must possess the ability to count and make simple arithmetic additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
