We have a client, a growing and dynamic entertainment payroll company, who is seeking to add a customer-centric, hardworking, optimistic and sharp Payroll Coordinator to their team. This firm offers excellent benefits and tremendous opportunity for growth.

Payroll Coordinators are responsible for timely and accurate client payrolls.

About the Role:

Develop relationships with existing and new clients

Prepare and process time-sensitive payroll

Assist team members with clients and/or payroll entry as needed

Must understand federal and state wage and hour laws and union contracts

Enters and manages client payrolls into shared Google Docs calendar

Communicates with clients in a timely manner regarding payroll questions while preparing and processing payroll.

Audits payrolls to ensure accuracy as per client protocols, such as deductions, handling fees and tax adjustments

Oversee payroll approval process and deadlines

Elevate client issues and/or requests to management, as appropriate

Confirm receipt of funds prior to payroll and/or wire release

Process adjustments

Protect client confidentiality

Able to perform tasks of Data Entry Clerk, Payroll Clerk and Payroll Processing Associate as directed


3+ years in payroll processing / accounting

(BONUS) Experience in Entertainment Production payroll and accounting

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Computer / Software skills: Strong knowledge of PC systems, Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Internet, software (in general), deep understanding of technical products and systems, tech savvy

Key Traits: positive attitude, team player, punctual, self-motivated, critical thinker, problem-solver, able to learn new tasks and software efficiently and quickly, develops strong working relationships with others at all levels

Key Skills: organization, interpersonal communication (verbal and written), able to meet strict deadlines

Must understand federal and state wage and hour laws and union contracts
