As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks
These Employee Relation Manager roles are responsible for handling conflict and disputes from team members across the enterprise. The position will have responsibility for determining if cases are allegations requiring further fact finding and if not, they will help facilitate a resolution between the team member and the subject of their complaint. These roles will be responsible for ensuring Employee Relations Consultants are provided adequate training and support to facilitate conflict resolution sessions and/or prepare individuals to handle conflict situations on their own. The positions may provide support for escalated issues by engaging with business leaders to resolve concerns. The positions will report into an Employee Relations Sr. Manager on the ER Allegations and Disputes team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Manages and may resolve escalated ER cases as well as cases originating through the Ethics Line
Evaluates strategies and supports enhancements of the ER Model through effective consultation, use of data and trends, and interpretation of metrics to support business decisions, internal leadership training, and talent assessment
Independently and effectively influences and negotiates with senior partners and stakeholders as required
Provides direct leadership, coaching, and development to geographically dispersed ER Consultants with enterprise responsibility for handling ER cases with a focus on risk management and the Wells Fargo Vision, Values and Guidelines.
Performs quality review of consultation, case documentation and adherence to established practices; provides feedback and suggests process changes as appropriate.
Develops and implements processes which balance adherence to audit, regulatory and leadership requirements with concern for team member experience and overall efficiency.
Manages relationships with broader ER community and the Ethics Oversight team. Independently and effectively influences and negotiates with senior partners and stakeholders across Lines of Business to resolve conflict.
Responsible for risk mitigation, employment-law compliance and achievement of organizational effectiveness through an alignment of Wells Fargo’s ER model and business objectives.
**Note: Multiple Hiring Managers. Position will report to any one of the ER Managers across the Allegations and Disputes team(s) that have an open position(s).

Required Qualifications

6+ years of employee relations consulting experience or human resources consulting experience; or 4+ years of leadership experience that includes coaching on employee relations issues of various scope and complexity

Desired Qualifications

2+ years of management experience
Extensive knowledge and understanding of human resources practices and policies
Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution
Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
Strong conflict resolution skills

Other Desired Qualifications
Employee relations investigating and fact finding experience
Experience with risk mitigation, employment-law compliance and achievement of organizational effectiveness
