B&A is currently seeking a Financial Systems Project Manager to join our team on a commercial project!
The duration of this role is for ~6 months.
We are seeking Financial Workstream Project Manager who will work with the B&A’s dynamic commercial and public sector client bases to develop financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to identify additional requirements or necessary changes and will develop and implement appropriate courses of action in collaboration with other team members. The successful candidate will develop actionable insights to help the company understand key business drivers, highlight risks and opportunities, and influence strategic decision making that will drive meaningful improvements and decisions. This role will require an understanding of complex business dynamics, and the ability to develop projections with strong quantitative and conceptual underpinnings.
The Financial Workstream Project Manager will work with other with thought leaders across multiple business functions, and will need to be able to collaborate, build credibility and trust, and ‘connect the dots’ between operational factors and value creation to be successful. Strong oral and written communication skills to meet tight deadlines for the many people relying on your work will be necessary, as will attention to detail, good time management, and grace under pressure.
Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a requirement; additional experience with EPM tools such as Oracle EPM (HFM, Hyperion Planning, PBCS, FCCS), Cognos TM1, SAP BPC, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights etc. is desirable.
Work on ERP projects including upgrades, enhancements, integrations and other special projects including Oracle Cloud and NetSuite.
Strong analytic and financial modeling skills; expertise in Excel including detailed experience with advanced techniques such as pivot tables, databases, and charting is a must
Financial management of the project, managing the deliverables of the solution integrators involved in the project, and providing overall support for the leader of the program
Define project value proposition, scope, work plan, resource needs, timeline and budget
Develop and maintain budget models and reports to assist departmental managers in their financial planning and forecasting; provide actual-to-budget and actual-to-forecast variance and trend analyses
Develop and enhance forecasting and budget models to provide financial metrics and key performance indicators
Support the preparation of Board presentation materials (KPI’s and quarterly reporting metrics)
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff in an international, team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and work independently
Willingness to work flexible hours to support international locations on occasion; experience in working in a global environment across multiple time zones and cultures
Document and perform analysis of client environment including technology strategy, current technology architecture, organizational structure, and business processes.
Support the development of Program Governance to align client's strategic priorities, develop performance/risk reporting, and support the transition to a new service delivery model (e.g. ITIL).
Assist with the development and execution of a Program Roadmap including project prioritization and delivery.
Subject Matter Expert with ERP or accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and CRM systems (Salesforce), to include set up and service delivery
5+ years leading ERP system implementations
7 years of relevant professional services experience; strong business skills and experience in Accounting, Finance or IT Operations.
Experience facilitating design, setup, and configuration of an ERP solution
Strong project management skills
Must be flexible for travel to Canada up to 75%
Must be able to obtain a Canadian work permit
Experience managing projects in the Commercial sector
One or more of the following certifications: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
Knowledge of and experience in operationalizing IT governance and service delivery models (e.g. ITIL, TOGAF, Agile, etc.).
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration (or equivalent business experience)
Advanced degree preferred (e.g.MBA, MS, CPA), but not required
