SCOPE:
Under limited supervision, the Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) Operations Manager of Global Medical Services is responsible for the oversight and delivery of the international programs assigned to their direct reports, Program Managers, and their staff. This position reports to the Director of Global Medical Services. The Advanced Practice Provider Operations Manager of Global Medical Services (GMS) will be available to deploy on short notice for short-term assignments both CONUS and OCONUS. Theses short-term assignments will include; but, not be limited to the provision of PA/NP clinical provider services, site surveys, program stand ups and program assessments.

LOCATION: Cape Canaveral, Florida

Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as medical liaison on mission essential assignments.

Assists with oversight of the strategic vision for the programs.

Anticipates emerging operational issues and provides solutions

Answers questions pertaining to medical training and scopes of practice.

Performs medical intelligence and surveillance for existing and potential contracts.

Performs applicable clinical record reviews to support standard of care assessments.

Must exhibit organizational leadership and serve as a resource and mentor to assigned staff.

Assists with oversight, accountability and administrative responsibility for assigned GMS programs throughout the contract life-cycle.

Maintains involvement, communication, and a productive relationship in material client issues that could impact Caliburn’s status with the client.

Assists with the implementation and compliance of policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures for program activities, to ensure the achievement of financial and operational goals and to deliver “Best in Class” services.

Accountable for audit outcomes and any necessary plans for improvement resulting from audits.

Assists with budgetary responsibility for program profit and loss statement.

Collaborates with corporate resources (HR, IT, Quality, Contracts, Logistics, Purchasing, Compliance, Finance, and Accounting) regarding company processes, policies, and procedures; and their responses to client requests.

Uses continuous quality improvement methods to identify performance gaps, develop innovative solutions and implement changes for program enhancement. Responsible for any changes to the client’s statement of work.

Coordinates, and monitors the service delivery of subcontracted vendors and suppliers to Corporate to ensure that operational objectives are achieved with those subcontractors.

Coordinates corporate support functions so that they are appropriately introduced and assists the Program Managers as to which support functions are to be used.

Develops relationships with employers and their internal customers including human resources, security, environmental health and safety, healthcare vendors, consultants and other parties that effect business development efforts.

May lead weekly team meetings to ensure open, two-way communication at all times through Government organizational departments.

Helps ensure regulatory compliance is maintained to include CEUs and other mandatory training staff.

Reviews the billing process to ensure thorough, accurate, and timely processing.

Monitors the financial performance, customer service, and quality outcomes of assigned Program Managers, adhering to contractual requirements and ensuring all service deliverables are met.

Assists with business development opportunities.

Reviews reports on operations with Program Managers on a regular basis to ensure contract performance and advises on all aspects of program operations with managers.

Develops and mentors team members from a careering perspective; ensuring annual appraisals are completed in a timely manner; goals and work plans are collaboratively (where applicable) and consistently implemented and executed; performance issues are addressed fairly and appropriately; consulting with management/corporate support as appropriate.

May lead or participate in interdepartmental project groups or task forces to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain a specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, contract awards, and new policy requirements.

Supports marketing/sales and Business Development objectives efforts as requested.

Travel/deployments on short notice for short-term assignments both CONUS and OCONUS to include the Middle East and/or other austere hostile environments for up to 90 days

Travel as required for client meetings and presentations.
Participate in training to include HIPAA training.

Job Requirements:
Job Requirements/Qualifications

Must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or appropriate Nurse Practitioner certification agency

Must have a full unrestricted U.S. (State) License, Certification, or Registration required by a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico) of the United States or District of Columbia

Must be a graduate of a school approved by the appropriate State accrediting agency

Five ( 5 ) years of experience as a PA/NP medical provider

Six months of clinical experience in the last 12 months is required

5-7 years of progressive administrative/management experience.

Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills required with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated skills in staff management, project management, and contract negotiation. Management experience should include financials, programs, data analysis, healthcare delivery, and personnel management.

Must have experience in successfully working with, and leading, integrated teams, and using current business management principles.

Must have experience and demonstrated ability in staff development and project management.

Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products is required especially in Microsoft Word and Excel

Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance to include a DoS MRPT and DoD Secret

Have and maintain current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Have or obtain certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). If not currently certified, Employer will financially assist in obtaining this certification

Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

Familiar with deploying medical capabilities in either a management or operational medicine support role.

Emergency medicine experience.

Currently hold a government clearance such as a DoS MRPT clearance or DoD Secret clearance.
Completion of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course or comparable advanced trauma course featuring “live tissue” or simulation training.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.

Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance with CHSi Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client.

No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting or carrying of up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.

Able to communicate verbally and listen for constant surveillance of staff activities.

Able to withstand desert-like, heat, and prone to dust storms when deployed.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel in the Middle East is required by surface or air
