Casting Assistant

The Casting Assistant will provide administrative support to the EVP, Casting & Talent Development. The position may support another Casting executive in the future.

General administrative duties including answering telephones, coordinating meetings and conference calls, coordinating travel, filing and shipping
Create and digitize actor demo reels to internal system
Perform internet and talent research
Maintain internal talent database
Record, edit and upload studio/network casting sessions
Special projects as assigned
Cover for other assistants as needed
Perform other related duties as required by management


Basic Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of administrative experience
Bachelor’s degree
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Basic knowledge of video camera operation
PC and Mac proficient

Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice

Desired Characteristics

Prior casting or agency experience is a plus
Experience with editing software and Cast It system
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Be flexible, personable, self-starter and detail-oriented with the ability to interface with the creative community as well as all levels of NBCU personnel
Professional phone and office manners
