Behavior and Education is a great place to work! We are seeking a mid-level Billing and Financial Analyst to join our Team in Manhattan Beach, CA.


1. Billing and Claim Corrections

  • Perform insurance billing and contract fulfillment
  • Follow up with insurance companies regarding collections
  • Perform claims corrections
  • Help the team transition from monthly billing to weekly billing
  • Assist with entering authorizations, and perform all follow up with the Clinical and Billing Teams

2. Assisting with Outstanding Accounts Receivables and Collections

3. Analyzing Data

  • Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision support
  • Improve agency financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management
  • Assist with forecasting
  • Verify staff bonuses

4. Reporting and Auditing

  • Perform routine and ad hoc report creation and analysis
  • Recommend improvements on current worksheets, reports, and other deliverable formats and processes
  • Perform routine and ad hoc audits

5. General

  • Collaborate with other internal BAE teams
  • Administer and monitor financial systems in order to ensure that information is maintained in an accurate manner
  • Research and respond to issues in order to provide resolution in a thorough and timely manner

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Finance / Billing Team Manager.


  • 2-3 years of relevant experience performing financial analysis
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting preferred
  • Experience with finance and accounting systems and processes (including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation of actual results)
  • Experience with insurance billing and contact fulfillment
  • Understanding of financial statements
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with the proven ability to turn findings into executable recommendations and plans
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects
  • Ease with technology, including Microsoft Office programs and strong Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization and maintain strong business relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent priorities, projects and tasks, and continue to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with confidential documents and maintain confidentiality
  • Compatibility for both independent and team work
  • Outgoing and friendly; work well with the current Finance / Billing Team
