NYC caterer seeking in-house wedding and event planner specialist. Must have a minimum at 3 years of experience in wedding planning & catering. Passion for coordinating all aspects of catering including menu planning, food design concepts, logistics, staffing, and stellar service.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in wedding planning & catering
- Computer Knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Successful experience with client cultivation and highest standard of customer care and relationship building.
- Proven track record of setting, tracking and achieving sales goals.
- Self-directed and self-motivated
- Passionate about customer relations, special events and building relationships both internal and external.
- Must be able to anticipate events/ project needs, meet deadlines with little supervision and manage multiple events at the same time.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the sales plan to secure wedding and social event business.
- Proactive selling vs. reactive
- Respond to all sales inquiries in a timely manner.
- Maintain good data and CRM records for leads, proposals and event reconciliations
- Maintain great client cultivation and ensures ongoing relationships for repeat business and referrals.
- Conduct venue tours for existing and prospective clients.
- Attend events as primary client contact.
- Collaborate closely with operations manager, chefs, designer, and staff coordinator to ensure memorable events.
- Work with outside vendors (rentals, florist, production team, entertainment companies etc…)
- Sell Our catering packages, which include weddings, private home events, and other life cycle celebrations.
