Job Purpose:
The Global Benefits Associate Manager is responsible for
supporting the administration of the Company’s various
benefits programs including Global Benefits, 401(k) Plan
Administration, Wellness Programs, Absence Management,
and Internal Communications. The incumbent will provide
day‐to‐day operational direction as well as participate
in the development of Benefit programs, strategies, and

  • Support the management of domestic benefits for
multiple business units, including Forever 21 Retail
stores, Distribution Center, and Corporate office.
Responsible for the development and on‐going
administration of Forever 21’s core and voluntary
employee benefits programs, including but not
limited to working with third party brokers to
negotiate annual contracts, suggesting plan design
changes, creating open enrollment materials,
developing statistical and financial models to
support annual benefits planning/budgeting,
maintaining outstanding vendor/provider
relationships, and facilitating benefits committee
  • Manage the daily benefit processing to include:
enrollments, terminations, life status changes,
beneficiaries, health insurance, disability, etc
  • Assist in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and
results of benefits programs in relation to
established goals. Recommend new approaches,
policies, and procedures to effect continual
improvements in efficiency of department and
services performed; conduct research and inquire
with consultants to document and understand current
trends in management practices with regards to
selecting and managing benefit programs
  • Oversee all regulatory audits, including but not
limited to, employee dependents and dropped records,
to ensure legal compliance and adherence to Forever
21 policy and plan provisions
  • Lead the reconciliation and audit billing process
for all domestic and international bills related to
employee benefits
  • Support the 401(k) plan administrator in managing
all audits, communications, deferrals, loans, as
well as ensuring Forever 21 stays in compliance with
all DOL guidelines
  • Maintain and keep updated on all open items as it
relates to the Benefits contracts, programs,
materials, planning & budgeting
  • Support international benefits initiatives as
needed, including spearheading the set‐up and
negotiation of benefits in all new international

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • 5+ years of employee benefits administration and/or
HR experience; 2+ years of experience managing or
supervising multiple direct/indirect reports
  • Previous management and development of Domestic and
International Benefits
  • Experience with creation and management of open
enrollment from start to finish
  • Previous experience working directly with brokers
regarding negotiations
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication
skills and the ability to provide consultation in
matters of high sensitivity and confidentiality
  • Ability to lead by example in the areas of work
ethic, personal and professional development,
resulting in maximum employee satisfaction and
performance of tasks
  • Previous Lawson and/or SAP experience is preferred,
but not required
