We are looking for a full-time Demand Planner 2 for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering data on product demand to support the marketplace, including recognizing and communicating variances and trends occurring in the marketplace and works to resolve with Sales & Marketing. Other essential functions include:
Interacts and proficiently understand and works with the following departments in the performance of essential functions: Sales & Marketing, Order Administration, Forecasting, Supply Planning & New Product Introduction
May lead semi-complex demand planning projects with some manager supervision
Uses analytical and qualitative methods to understand, predict and enhance demand signals
Provides sound solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques including identification and resolution of root cause analysis and corrective action
Gains understanding of Garmin’s business model including Operations, Production, Sales, Marketing & Engineering
Demonstrates solid business judgment in setting schedules, risk taking and daily duties
Serve as a resource to less experienced Planners and shares information and ideas willingly
Demonstrates Garmin’s Mission Statement & Quality Policy and proactively works to improve Garmin’s image and culture
Qualified candidates possess a Bachelors’ Degree AND 3 years’ experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description OR Associates Degree from a two year college or university AND 5 years’ experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description OR, High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 10 years’ experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description OR High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 5 years’ experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description AND management approved supply chain certificate.
