Personal Injury Account Manager

Responsibilities may include all or some of the following:
Primary contact for new referrals and patient intake – plays a vital role in determining client satisfaction
Intake, examine, investigate, and assist with management of claims.
Analyze information to negotiate and determine appropriate next steps in process.
Function as account manager for key external relationships – liaison between referral source and local clinics.
Compile, manage, and execute attorney correspondence and billing.
Review and verify accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as necessary.
Communicate with patients, attorneys, and doctors, in a timely manner.
Determine obstacles and strategies to accurately inform status to manager/clinic director.
Manage accounts receivable for the accounts assigned.
Maintain files and EOBs in an appropriate manner to assure accessibility.
Respond in a timely fashion to medical record requests.
Manage any record and any other information requests while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
May perform other accounting and bookkeeping duties as required.
Assist the billing manager with all aspects of billing.
Communicate to the billing manager any follow-up on outstanding issues.
Observe confidentiality with clients and clinics.
Any other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:Required Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience in working closely with attorneys regarding Personal Injury / Auto cases is required
Experience in health care is an advantage
  • Experience in MS Word and Excel also helpful
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Strong negotiation skills required
Travel:
Initial onboarding: two weeks in Detroit, MI, immediately after hire
Periodic training and in-services (on average quarterly) which may require travel to Detroit
Periodic on-site meetings within Metro Atlanta area with attorney referral sources
