Under general supervision, the primary focus of this position is to perform administrative functions in accordance with Freeport Sales Company’s sales agreements for export of North and South American copper concentrates for international delivery to its customers. These transactions are complex, high value transactions which require attention to detail and discretionary decision making. Position will interface with international base of customers to ensure superior customer service and timely and accurate performance of the order to cash collection process. Responsibilities include coordination between internal suppliers and labs, external customers, banks, supervisors, umpires and labs.

Contract administration for all Freeport Sales Company international concentrate sales transactions (purchases and sales).
Liaise with North/South American mines to monitor assay information, shipment timing, etc.
Invoice preparation for sales transactions
Verify and monitor all payments due to North/South American mines
Monitor/coordinate/confirm with Manager on payments received and paid
Coordinate with customers to deliver shipment documents and provide assay information
Oversee letter of credit transactions with banks to ensure compliance with internal requirements and ensure that all documentation is accurate and timely payments are effected
Perform assay exchanges with customers, analyze exchange results and interface with internal/external laboratories.
Assist with the preparation of sales and cash forecasts
Ensure all transactions are input into SAP
Communication and coordination with metals accounting to ensure all transactions are properly booked and appropriate SOX procedures are followed
Arrange Surveyor Supervision for weighing/sampling at unloading ports
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience in an Industrial Sales Office or similar work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in International Sales environment
Strong problem solving, accuracy and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to work in dynamic, constantly changing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
Three-plus (3+) years of experience in a related field
Experience in import/export business transactions
Experience with international letter of credit and payment practices
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in customer service or sales & marketing
Experience using SAP OR SAP Enterprise Resource Planning experience with order-to-cash SD module OR demonstrated experience effectively working within an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) model integrating all aspects of the business including sales, customer service, customer credit management, inventory management, demand/pull modeling, forecasting, etc.
Proven ability to interact with culturally diverse, international base of customers
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Mining industry or terminal metals markets experience
Demonstrated work history with minimal supervision while delivering measurable results
Criteria/Conditions

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ

Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator

Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
There will be time spent in operational settings, either at a mine site, or downstream operations; this activity will be largely related to observing or information gathering

Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in an outdoor or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required
