Project Foreman

We are a full-service heavy civil contracting company located in Redmond, Oregon that specializes in site work, grading, utilities, infrastructure, demolition, mass excavation, waterways, project management, and design builds.
Project Foreman will be the first and primary line of communication between the Company and the personnel on the job. This position will also be expected to interface with the Client ensuring their concerns are communicated to appropriate Company personnel. The Project Foreman is responsible for knowing and understanding the project and seeing that it is completed on time, on budget, and to the highest level of satisfaction possible.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress, and resource allocation
- Daily collaboration with Company management: Vendor, Personnel, Material, Tools, and Equipment
- Coordinate scheduling of vendors and subcontractors.
- Work with management to determine progress toward budgeted project components and timelines.
- Communicate equipment and trucking needs and assist in the dispatch of these needs
- Request needed inspections with YBE front desk the afternoon before the needed inspections
- Understand when and what to communicate to clients, inspectors, and crew members and when and what to refer to management
- Work with management to determine progress toward budgeted project components and timelines
- Request and facilitate changes in project operations as necessary to best meet construction deadlines
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
- Training crew members on the correct application of our work, our equipment, and that the shortcuts are never accepted – we go the extra mile and perfection is never sacrificed.
- Maintain a daily written log and pictorial documentation for the job site's progress
- Daily Report Template:
- Crew members
- Hours
- Truckload counts: Material type and Loads
- Notes: 4-10 lines of daily activities
- Incidents, accidents, and issues
- Pictures showing the progress of job site
- Pictures showing records of all items needing inspection
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements on the job site.
Requirements
- Self-starter
- Strong scheduling and organizational skills
- Ability to read and decipher plans, specs, and codes
- Working knowledge of GPS technology Self-starter.
- Strong communication skills
- Must possess a Driver’s license with a clean driving history
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to do physically demanding tasks
- Able/willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
A pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle record, and background check will be required.

Experience:
- Horizontal Construction: 3 years (Preferred)
- Civil Foreman: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
