Under the supervision of a wildlife biologist, this position will be responsible for Implementing habitat management on Grayson, Yatesville, South Shore, and Ed Mabry Wildlife Management Area's encompassing approximately 23,000 acres.

Job duties include:
Preferred applicants will document knowledge and experience with various land management and forest management practices and techniques, including implementation of these practices.
A working knowledge of general farm equipment is needed for this position.
Some computer skills will be required, knowledge of general computer programs are needed, programs such as Word, Excel, and Office.
Provide support and input to the public lands biologist and will work cohesively with staff on these Wildlife Management Area's and throughout the region when needed.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have one year of fishery, wildlife or habitat management/development experience.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional related training will substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in fisheries, wildlife or habitat management/development will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess a valid driver's license prior to appointment in this classification. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.

Working Condition Travel, extreme weather conditions, heavy equipment and wildlife may pose hazards.
