Work you'll do:
The Learning & Development manager will have broad and diverse responsibilities for supporting the learning and development leader in providing consultative business advisory services. These responsibilities will include the alignment of business strategies with the most appropriate talent development initiatives. In addition to business advisory responsibilities, this role will also include ownership of initiatives to build out a strong development culture in Deloitte Global, and will require design and facilitation experience. This role may also support other strategic talent development programs or projects as required. Role specific responsibilities and projects include:
Creation of talent development programs/initiatives: Participate in the full life-cycle of program design, development, implementation and evaluation, including but not limited to needs analysis, creating/sourcing relevant materials, communications, surveys, facilitation and train the trainer sessions.
Relationship building: Develop and maintain key relationships within business, People teams and broad talent development stakeholders. Key skills include influence, collaboration, consensus.
Needs assessment: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business priorities and identify related mindset shifts, behavioral changes and performance improvements. Recommend development initiatives to achieve objectives. Key skills include, consultative questioning, influencing, stakeholder engagement, business acumen, initiative and passion for resolving complex business issues and moving solutions to the next level.
Program/Content design: Adopt an iterativeapproach to designing and delivering innovative development initiatives tied to measurable business results that meet stakeholder needs and development objectives. Leveraging best in class techniques and tools, offer on-going, immersive and engaging learning experiences that include education, experience and exposure opportunities. Key skills include design thinking, instructional design, learner analysis.
Facilitation: facilitate proprietary Deloitte professional and leadership trainings, in both classroom and virtual environments creating a comfortable, inclusive and engaging learning environment for meaningful discovery, discussion and collaboration. Key skills include active listening, empathy, facilitation and class management.
Evaluation: Based on program objectives and defined business impact, identify metrics and evaluate effectiveness of programs leveraging both qualitative and quantitative measures. Improve programming as necessary and monitor changes in relevance and value to business. Use positive results to promote value of development programs with stakeholders and to the business broadly. Key skills include basic data analysis, familiarity with different data collection methods, critical thinking, ability to draw meaningful and actionable conclusions.
Ownership: Work closely with talent advisory and functional/business learning partners to manage curriculum roll out, including plans for communications and change management to create awareness and drive adoption. Partner closely with TD specialists to oversee & execute on logistics of program implementation plans. Key skills include project management and development of project plans, timelines, milestones and key measures with the ability to resolve and/or escalate issues as appropriate.
Industry & organizational knowledge: In depth research into leading-edge learning and development best practices as well as staying ahead of network wide learning offerings across technical, professional and leadership skills
Learning trends and innovation: Stay up to date on trends and best practices to improve performance and engage the modern learner, incorporating innovative solutions into content design and development recommendations.
Communications: Develop and deliver creative & effective communication campaigns to communicate value & engage learners for general & BU specific initiatives. Establish and manage on-going partnership with People teams to leverage their engagement and communication expertise, tools & processes.
