Working within C4ISR Systems you will apply your skills to develop high-quality software that provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters through electronic products and innovative technical solutions. You can be working on systems deployed in the depths of the ocean to outer space, and everywhere in between. Our New Jersey location provides critical products and technologies for our C4ISR and Electronic Warfare business areas. New hires will be exposed to the full software lifecycle from requirements development through integration and testing, as part of our standard rotation program for college graduates. You can expect to rotate to a new program, site, Business Area or program phase on an approximately annual basis for the first few years of your career to gain breadth in your experience.

Immediate opportunities exist for Software Engineers to design, implement, and test real time, embedded software for various military electronic systems such as Software Defined Radios, Avionics, and Electronic Warfare systems. We employ agile software technologies such as Scrum, Continuous Integration, and code refactoring to improve the quality of delivered systems. Develop web-based, Java, and .NET-based Graphical User Interface software which interfaces to various embedded electronic systems. Develop scripts and web based interfaces for engineering productivity improvement tools including configuration management tools, software build tools, and automated software testing tools. BAE Systems will provide focus and technical growth opportunities for new college graduates by assigning tasks that are technically challenging, achievable, time-boxed, and under the direction of a technical lead or mentor.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
Requires Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
Must be proficient with C++ programming language
Must be eligible for Secret security clearance

Preferred Skills and Education
Knowledge of hardware/software interfacing techniques
Familiarity with real time, concurrent programming techniques
Exposure to software design concepts including the use of the Unified Modeling Language (UML)
Secret security clearance is preferred, but can be obtained once started
