What you will do …

  • Ensure the facility’s quality assurance program & repair practices meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure product quality at the plant meets customer, company, industry & regulatory requirements.
  • Implement & manage processes to measure quality & implement corrective actions for continuous improvement based on data provided, procedures, and policies.
  • Develop & train employees on quality, special process, & work instruction procedures.
  • Conduct internal audits of facility to ensure compliance with company, customer and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as audit liaison & response coordinator for customer, AAR, and FRA audits.
  • Ensure AAR M1003 quality assurance & AAR M1002 facility certification programs are current and meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in and actively supports Quality projects and activities and Responsible Care initiatives to ensure that the Company achieves its goals.

What you need:

  • Legally able to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship.
  • 5 yrs quality management experience in an industrial setting
  • Flexible to working different shifts; Possibly weekends.
  • Computer aptitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing & able to wear safety equipment
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, enter tank cars via manway opening of approx. 20 inches in diameter, tolerate confined spaces & heights of approx. 14 ft.
  • Visual acuity for safety
  • ISO experience can be considered in lieu of AAR experience
  • Knowledge of safety practices, welding & metal fabrication, & blueprint reading
  • Knowledge of NDT inspection processes including VT and PT, as well as AWS-CWI certification preferred.
