Our client has a need for a Buyer/Supply Chain This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Buyer/Supply Chain

Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Buyer/Supply Chain will include

Quote components on in coming quote kits through approved suppliers
Prepare quote kits for submittal of the RFQ to the customer by customer service
Quote and buy office/miscellaneous items
Control inventory impact by analyzing MOQ vs consumption
Maintain MRP health by aligning PO dates and managing PO quantities
Run and respond to daily MRP report
Run and respond to daily Exceptions Report (Reschedule In, Reschedule Out, Cancels, Late POs)
Resolve PO/Invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
Manage OSP components (painting, testing, etc.)
Process supplier related RMAs
Pursue and track cost out in accordance with divisional supply base
Ensure fixed vendors align with divisional supply base
Communicate and coordinate with plant manager, production supervisors and planning to ensure schedule adherence and recovery if required.
Expedite critical orders throughout the supply chain

Job Requirements

As a Buyer/Supply Chain you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
3+ years of Buying experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but will consider qualified individuals with related work experience
ITAR compliance
Buyer using SAP
Bachelor’s Degree in SCM or related field
Collaborates effectively with Operations and Planning
Operates with limited supervision and efficiently controls MRP demand
Builds positive relationships, internally and with supply base
Maintains a positive attitude under pressure
Makes data driven decisions
Exhibits excellent analytical skills
Negotiates effectively with suppliers
Maintains a positive attitude towards change
Understanding of FA approval process
