Program Assistant – Immigration Legal Services - Dallas, TX

Catholic Charities Dallas is looking for an Program Assistant to join our team. You will be supporting the Immigration Legal Services staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Support

You will provide clerical support for the Immigration team which includes answering phones, processing mail, maintaining client records, and scheduling appointments.

Welcoming

You will greet clients, process payments and assist with outreach events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some college; business and/or administrative classes preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in an office/law office setting or a non-profit agency
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Computer literate and experience with MS Office suite of products; spreadsheets and organizational tool experience is a must
  • Data base entry, reporting and query experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required
  • Ability to handle confidential information with great discretion

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Catholic Charities Dallas offers a variety of benefits to our staff including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Our employees can participate in a retirement plan with an employer contribution after one year of employment. Paid Time Off (PTO) allows employees the flexibility to take time off as they need and we have a generous holiday schedule. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $14.00 to $15.86 per hour, based on skills and experience.
