KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, IT Risk Assessment to join KPMG Technology Organization.
Perform information security risk assessments of high profile, large impact technology enabled projects (e.g. firm acquisitions, strategic growth initiatives); activities include vendor reviews, security requirement definition, and facilitation of security testing and management of residual risk
Serve as escalation for risk assessment team as it relates to outstanding security risks
Interact with project teams, KPMG partners and other senior members of the firm to advise and assist with compensating control alternatives where security requirements cannot be met
Function as a subject matter expert in several IT security domains (e.g. access control, cryptography, monitoring, etc.)
Continuously improve the security aspects of operating processes
Contribute to the security strategy of the firm, including planning, execution and controlling responsibilities; lead internal and leverage external resources to operate and enhance the firms information security risk assessment program; performance manager for a team of employees, some of which are performance managers; create development plans and raise the skill levels of the team
Eight years of experience in IT security, performing IT security risk assessments
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university; CISSP Certification is required; Other certifications of importance: CISM, CISA, CRISC, CIPP, CGEIT, CCSP
Experience in information security risk assessments of high profile, large impact technology enabled projects
Experience in a supervisory role
Excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and team work; must be able to set goals and participate in strategic initiatives for a team
Ability to foster the development of high performance teams and interface with all levels of the organization; ability to participate in development of resource plans and structures and influence organizational priorities
