We are seeking a skilled Wireless and Network Field Technician to join our dynamic team and help us achieve this mission.
The Wireless and Network Field Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting wireless and wired network systems. This role involves working on-site at client locations, diagnosing network issues, and providing high-quality technical support to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points and wireless PTP and PTMP radios.
- Install, configure, and maintain electronic door access control systems.
- Perform on-site network assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades on network infrastructure, electronic door access systems, and wireless communication networks.
- Respond promptly to service requests and ensure timely resolution of network, access control, and wireless communication issues.
- Collaborate with the network operations team to ensure network reliability and performance.
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities, including those for electronic door access and wireless communication systems.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain inventory of networking, access control, and wireless communication equipment and tools.
- Stay updated with the latest network technologies, electronic door access systems, and wireless communication trends.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar.
- Proven experience as a network technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
- Experience with electronic door access control systems and wireless communication networks.
- Proficiency in using network diagnostic and monitoring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move networking and access control equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in various environments, including data centers, offices, and outdoor settings.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
