DESCRIPTION
Mendocino-Lake Community College District is currently accepting applications for a full-time Center Operations Manager to work at our Lake Center Campus located in Lakport, CA. This is a full-time Classified Administrator position.
The District serves students throughout Lake and Mendocino Counties and Online. The main campus is located in Ukiah, CA; with centers locations in Lakeport, CA; Willits, CA; Fort Bragg, CA; and online.

Under general direction of the Dean of the Centers, supervises and coordinates the daily operation of the College Center, including outlying locations assigned to the Center; supervises assigned personnel; acts as primary contact for high schools served by the Center for dual enrollment and other activities; supports faculty, including those assigned to courses at high schools and other off-campus sites.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary range (10) is $84,366 - $102,547 annually. There are five annual step movements; initial placement will be at step 1, unless approved by the Superintendent/President.

Benefits: With no
monthly premium contribution from the employee, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes family medical, dental, vision, EAP benefits and employee life insurance. Additional voluntary life insurance is available for employee purchase. Benefits are effective the first of the month following hire date.
Holidays and Paid Time Off: The successful candidate will earn twenty one (21) days of vacation and twelve (12) days of sick leave per year. Vacation leave increases with the length of service. There are twenty (20) paid holidays annually.
Retirement: This position is eligible for CalPERS Retirement.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
The successful candidate will support institutional processes, staff, and faculty with completion of the following duties:

Recommend and assist in the implementation of center specific goals and objectives.

Evaluate center operations and activities; recommend improvements and modifications; prepare various reports on operations and activities, including program review; recommend improvements in workflow, procedures, and the use of center facilities, equipment, and other resources.

Supervise, plan, prioritize, and evaluate the work of center staff including Classified Staff, hourly temporary staff, student workers, volunteers, and others; including compiling employment paperwork and forwarding to Human Resources.

Orients new faculty/staff to facility and services.
-
Coordinate work flow and activities among departments or offices; schedule coverage of activities; oversee center activities to assure proper service levels.

Coordinates and performs a variety of administrative details related to the operation of various programs and services including outlying locations assigned to the Center, facilities, scheduling of classes, registration, assessment, tutoring, advertising, budgeting, special needs of students, etc.

Responds to emergency maintenance, facility, security, and grounds calls or contacts staff members to respond. Response to these situations may occur during non-business hours including weekend or evening hours.

Maintains positive relations and consistent communication with District Offices, such as Admissions & Records, Student Services, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Fiscal Services, the Learning Center, and Facilities.

Coordinates a variety of activities with students, local school districts, and communities served; establishes and maintains positive staff and public relations.

Coordinates dual enrollment program for high schools associated with the center, including scheduling class, supporting faculty, managing enrollment process, and ensuring that college process and protocols are followed.

Partners with Dean of Centers to build positive community relations, including promoting college offerings, attending community meetings, and gathering information about community needs and opportunities.

Supports faculty at the Center with facilities and technology needs; provides all Center faculty (including dual enrollment) with deadline reminders and other support to ensure their compliance with district processes and protocols

In the absence of the Dean of the Centers, is the first point of contact for faculty, students, and the public who have concerns, complaints, or questions about Mendocino College policies & procedures.

Coordinates day-to-day, on-site student services from the main campus including counseling, tutoring, financial aid, library, learning center, computer lab, and others.
-
Assists in the development and maintenance of the Center budget; assigns budget codes, determines and monitors account balances and prepares summary reports as necessary; supervises the reconciling and depositing of cash receipts; attends meetings and coordinates with Fiscal Services.

Assists students in interpreting College catalog including program and degree information.
-
Works with Dean of Centers and Counseling to develop Center counseling schedule.
-
Assembles, compiles, prepares, and tabulates data and information for a variety of reports and other purposes; prepares correspondence and reports.
-
Monitors class enrollments and instructor attendance. Assists in the development of Center policies and procedures and provides for their interpretation and communication to others.

Travels occasionally to locations administered by the Center.
-
Attends meetings, workshops, and job-related training as directed.
-
As needed, works registration counter; collects and verifies completion of admissions applications; verifies and processes fee waivers; registers students; collects fees; makes counseling appointments; etc.

Attends to ongoing facilities oversight; collaborates with Facilities Director to problem solve and coordinate activities related to the Center facility; monitors janitorial services.

Performs related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet Human Resources guidelines for qualified hiring; including but not limited to a Live Scan background check and completion of TB Test.
Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, geographic and ethnic backgrounds of students, staff, and faculty.
EDUCATION QUALIFCATIONS:
Associates Degree & progressively responsible experiences in an office environment
