The Grounds Maintenance Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to complete grounds maintenance tasks and projects. The position also requires employees to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks.

Cut grass, trim edges, clean up refuse, blow trimmings, fertilize and water turf areas and perform other landscaping duties as directed by the management team.
Move and install soil, mulch and plant material to assist in with the construction of landscape gardens and related areas.
Spray and dust areas to control insects and/or weeds
Operate power equipment including but not limited to, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters and chain saws
Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment
Must always wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Perform other reasonably related duties as may be assigned

Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver's license and driving record
Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or more repeatedly through an entire work shift
Requires good manual dexterity
Excellent stamina is required
Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
Work outside in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
Flexible working hours including occasional
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and or as required to deliver the objectives.
