The Pride Institute is the nation’s first and leading provider of residential and outpatient treatment programs exclusively treating substance abuse and mental health needs of adult clients within the LGBTQ+ community. Offering a 42 bed Residential program in Eden Prairie, MN, an Intensive Out-Patient (IOP) program in the Uptown area of Minneapolis and, beginning soon, an IOP program in Rochester, MN, our highly trained, professional staff is dedicated to creating a safe, affirming alternative to traditional treatment programs in which successful treatment outcomes can be the focus of the clients in our care. This has been our mission for over 30 years.
Pride Staff are diverse, compassionate, and dedicated. Some of us are part of the community and some of us are allies. Some of us are in recovery and some of us have only witnessed the devastation caused by addiction. Some of us came to Pride with limited knowledge of the unique challenges experienced by our clients and some of us have personally faced those challenges. We are always learning from each other and from our clients.
In addition to our Treatment Staff, we have nonclinical professionals just as diverse, compassionate and dedicated, working to improve business operations. We are currently seeking a Community Relations Representative to represent The Pride Institute to the LGBTQ+ community, future clients and potential referral sources within an identified market service area. The Community Relations Representative will implement the philosophy, policy, procedures, systems and strategic goals set forth by the senior management team while maximizing referral potentials from assigned referral accounts, and developing new business to achieve the goals and objectives of the strategic marketing plan thereby strengthening our relationship with these sources.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in marketing, counseling, social work, psychology, nursing or business administration OR equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in marketing or community relations activities; experience in a behavior health facility preferred. Marketing or community relations experience related to the LGBTQ community is a huge plus. Solid business management, market research and public speaking experience.
Licensure: Must have a valid driver’s license.
The Pride Institute offers a generous time off policy, health, dental, vision, life and other supplemental policies, as well as a retirement savings plan with company match and a stock purchase program from our parent company Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS)
