The System Director of Marketing develops and executes marketing and business development strategies that support the overarching Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan of the System as well as the entity-specific businesses and their objectives. This includes achieving goals related to growing market share, service line volume growth, physician practice visits, System and entity-specific brand awareness, improving preference and market position, image and loyalty goals, and departmental budgeting and ROI measurement. The System Director of Marketing plans and directs the work of the system Marketing staff and support vendors and is responsible for establishing overall priorities for the departments regarding consumer-focused and business-to-business brand and marketing strategies, internal and external communications, digital services, and public and community relations. The Director is responsible for strong tactical action plans and setting timelines and execution measurements and benchmarks for those plans. Develops and monitors key performance indicators to evaluate the overall success of all the department’s strategic initiatives.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications, Business Administration, Healthcare Management/Administration or Related Field with an emphasis in marketing is required. Master’s Degree is strongly preferred.
Experience: Demonstrated success and a minimum of five years’ experience progressively leading marketing and communications functions to include developing and implementing marketing strategies within a hospital or healthcare setting. Strong experience cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and maintaining strong positive working dynamics with cross-functional teams is essential. Strong experience demonstrated with brand establishment, creative services management, digital marketing and consumer relationship platforms. Strong experience demonstrated with writing articles, stories, press releases and other public relation/marketing content. Qualified candidates will possess robust business acumen, data analytic and change management skills along with strong leadership experience engaging and managing staff performance to goals and objectives. Excellent communication, interpersonal, project management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages and multi-task with a high sense of urgency is a must.
