Position Summary The role of the Interventionist, under the supervision of Intervention Services Coordinator, will be to provide quality academic coaching and progress monitoring for students on their caseloads. Primary Responsibilities  Manage a caseload of high-need students including the following: track student performance data, use historical data to develop individualized support, draft Individualized Learning Plans (ILP) for each student, record student progress daily, prepare and submit weekly case notes, and summarize student progress in reports at the end of each quarter  Implement a variety of teaching strategies to increase engagement with Math and Literacy skills  Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress  Collaborate with MWAUS faculty daily to support student needs and skill development by content area, as well as to provide consistent and effective academic coaching, intervention, and remediation for students  Prepare, submit, and update Interventionist-related materials including the following: reports, notices, letters, newsletters, presentations, bulletin boards, etc.  Maintain compliance with Intervention Services Department initiatives, policies, procedures, and expectations  Attend professional development sessions, meetings, debriefs, check-ins, and collaborate with support staff and faculty as needed Skills  Able to plan and organize academic support activities, manage time effectively and organize materials  Ability to manage both small group and overall study center environment  Resolve conflicts and motivate students to complete assignments  Communicate effectively and professionally with both staff and students  Able to provide students with academic support, assisting with homework and projects  Ability to work collaboratively and independently  Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with limited supervision  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerSchool, and other applicable computer software desired Qualifications Experience  Minimum 2 years of providing academic support for students who are at risk of retention in small groups and/or individual case management Education  Bachelor’s degree required

Salary: $25.00 /hour
