Our IT teams support that mission by building applications and products that serve our customers. We’re looking for an IT Manager that’s interested in leading and directing software evolution and innovation for multiple product teams. The ideal candidate would be passionate about leadership and excited to build relationships with various business segments to partner in delivering software to market.
Primary responsibilities of this position are to provide strategic thought leadership, operational planning, individual coaching, mentoring, and general architectural guidance. Our IT Managers work closely with Business Partners, Product Owners and Architects to identify solutions and lead team members to deliver enhancements to our clients through Agile development.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and management support for application developers, including mentoring, team building, setting expectations, performance appraisal, salary administration and staff development.
Lead project delivery. Plan and coordinate staffing requirements, scheduling and projects. Review performance, quality, budget, organization and standards of the development team efforts.
Provide consultation to business partners on projects, opportunities and problems. Participate in the enterprise prioritization process to represent the business needs and gain consensus for allocation of resources to complete the work.
Participate on the Application Development leadership team. Actively influence strategic direction and architecture for the Application Development organization and ensure all tactics are in support of the long-term strategy. Prepare and implement departmental goals and objectives. Assist in the development of the IT department budget.
Improve the efficiency, cost effectiveness and quality of the Information Technology department and business area.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance or business or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
A minimum of five years application development and support experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
Experience leading IT Transformational activities.
Broad knowledge of software engineering and testing methodologies.
Experience working in an Agile framework.
Proven leadership and communications skills.
Experience building and maintaining key business relationships.
Candidates must be willing to perform on-call duties outside of business hours in alignment with our general DevOps practices. Occasional overtime and travel as needed.
