ShipSage , Inc, an e-commerce auto parts distributor, is looking for a responsible, efficient individual with stellar leadership skills to manage warehouse distribution and 3PL. It is a full-time position located in Bolingrook, IL.
Job Description/ Responsibilities:
- Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
- Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
- Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
- Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
- Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud
- Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)
- Maintain and ensure high standards of safety throughout operations.
- Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets and daily shipping percentages are met.
- Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress.
- Delivering, fulfilling objectives and directions from upper management.
- This position supervises all employees of the warehouse and is responsible for the performance management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of employee and performance management experience
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Computer literacy in word, excel and PowerPoint, MS Office
- Implementing 5S experience
- Knowledge of WMS systems
- OSHA training requirements experience is a plus
- Planning and scheduling skills
- Excellent team building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff
- Must have strong problem solving and organization skills
- Able to work with all levels of staff
- Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Track record of meeting or exceeding department performance goals
- Experience in distribution environments
- Bilingual (Spanish)

Education
- High school Diploma/GED is required.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position; hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with some overtime as needed. We also work will occasionally work Saturdays or Sundays and will require that management is present to assure coverage of the warehouse. This means that you will be required to work 1-2 weekend days per month.
