The Creative Experiences (Creative X) team's mission is to redefine creativity for the mobile age. We do this by delivering best in class mobile and integrated marketing creative for Facebook and the entire family of apps and services. Our goals align with the broader Facebook company mission of building community and bringing people closer together. We create experiences that help people discover, understand, and fall in love with Facebook's products and programs.
Our teams of Creative, Program Management, and Production challenge industry norms and drive big, bold brand thinking while also being responsive to product culture and needs. Our focus is outbound creative experiences including Facebook/social, TV, OOH, content, activations, experiential and Global Events. All outbound consumer-facing creative and global events work is creatively developed and/or managed by the Creative X team. This ensures a consistent and strong creative narrative for work that reaches an audience of over 2.5 billion people. We scale with the support of external production partners and vendors, and take cues from our Facebook culture of moving fast, being bold, and iterating.
We are looking for a conceptual Copywriter to join the team with a background in digital product and brand campaigns. We’re looking for a creative problem solver who is passionate about telling stories and crafting work that makes the technical feel human and authentic. You're a conceptual thinker who can bring your ideas to life in new and inspiring ways. You must be comfortable working across all mediums. You have a strong point of view on concept, story and tone of voice on behalf of brands. You have a high level of craft in all facets of your writing, from in-product to short and long form scripts. When you decide to make something, you see your vision from concept to launch without any hand-holding.
Write and concept big ideas for all mediums, including mobile, social, product, film, interactive, content, activations, OOH, print, events, experiential, events, etc.
A strong understanding of how writing and conceptual ideas can be used to tell a story on behalf of a brand and within a product
Communicate complicated technology topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience
Present ideas in a clear and focused way that builds consensus within the team
Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment with art directors, designers, engineers, strategists and product managers
Work autonomously, with little hand-holding
Create original, breakthrough work
5+ years experience at agency/in-house concepting and writing copy for global brands
