As a member of the RMS Human Resources team, this position will be responsible for the execution of HR processes, policies, procedures and activities supporting the Raytheon DinéFactory (RDF) located in Farmington, NM.
The selected candidate will partner with leaders as a coach and architect on topics including organizational effectiveness and change, talent management, organizational learning and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. Additionally, through partnership with other HR Leaders, Business Partners and Generalists across RMS, this position will provide leadership and support in the execution of strategic HR initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, and talent development. This position will report to an RMS Human Resource Sr. Manager, will be the HR Business Partner to the RDF Factory Director and will be a member of the RDF Leadership Team as well as the primary HR representative for the RDF. The HRG must be innovative and adapt well to change, foster a strong customer-service orientation, work collaboratively on teams—both within RDF and across other RMS organizations— and consult effectively and independently with good judgment at all levels of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions):
Models Employee Advocacy behavior to front, mid-level leaders, senior leaders and employees.
Collaborates with RMS HR team members across organizational lines in delivering quality HR support to the client groups.
Partners with RMS Organizational Effectiveness to execute Organizational Effectiveness (OE) principles in order to ensure organizational health.
Coordinates Talent Management strategies to include workforce planning, succession planning, and knowledge transfer and talent acquisition.
Plans, organizes, and administers HR programs, processes and activities for client group
Provides guidance and counsel to leaders and employees on HR programs, policies and procedures.
Communicates and implements pro-active employee relations strategies pertaining to team-based initiatives, training, leadership development, employee communications, and compensation and benefits in support of the goals and strategic objectives.
Investigates and resolves Employee Relations issues and complaints, including Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Ethics-related case investigations. Focuses on maintaining a positive employee relations environment and culture.
Counsels leadership on matters concerning development of staff to enhance effectiveness and potential. Ability to shift emphasis from resolving issues for others to building leadership capabilities that address and resolve both human and technical aspects of the work environment.
Serves as a resource for driving a culture of Diversity and Inclusion, particularly with the inclusion of Navajo culture in the workplace.
Maintains positive relationships with the local community and Navajo Nation offices, i.e. 4-Corners SHRM, Indian Health Services, Navajo Nation Housing Authority, Job Banks, etc.
May travel to other Raytheon sites.
Eight (8) or more years of progressive Human Resource knowledge/experience in the areas of Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Staffing, and Organizational Effectiveness
Strong business acumen and experience helping drive business results
Experience coaching managers regarding employee performance & talent development
Experience building effective working relationships with a broad range of management styles and levels and with a generationally and culturally diverse workforce.
Experience influencing and managing change in a matrixed environment
Able to work autonomously in an ambiguous environment
Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up
Strong communication skills to include verbal, written, and interpersonal
Ability to execute the requirements of the Navajo Preference in Employment Act
Ten(10) or more years of progressive Human Resource knowledge/experience in the areas of Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Management, Staffing, and Organizational Effectiveness
Ability to influence senior leaders in a matrix organization
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
PHR or SPHR
