Apigee Edge is an advanced API platform that enables enterprises to create, manage, secure and scale APIs. Using Apigee, enterprises can design and deploy API proxies in public and private clouds, secure data in transit with OAuth 2.0, SAML and two-way TLS, protect against traffic spikes by adding dynamic routing, caching and rate-limiting policies to APIs, and measure the success of both API operations and API business with end-to-end analytics.

As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will help businesses of all sizes leverage technology to connect with customers, employees and partners.

In this role, you'll work to make our customers' adoption of Apigee a success by focusing on their initial production launch and expanded use within their enterprise.

Our team is made up of experienced Customer Engineers and Solution Architects who engage with prospects and customers on their journey with Apigee. You'll understand and assess a customer's requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of the Apigee platform and help customers build robust production-ready solutions. You have excellent technical, organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and manage a team of Customer Engineers.

Develop working relationships with customers and Sales leadership to achieve regional business growth goals.
Work with the regional Apigee Sales leadership to identify, qualify and prioritize coverage for customer opportunities. Provide technical leadership during review meetings and offer insights to the team.
Resolve problems to improve customer satisfaction. Partner with customers throughout their customer journey.
Craft presentations, demos and strategies for customers. Work with your team, Sales, partners, Customer Support, Product Management and Engineering to help customers with their adoption of Apigee.
Assess the team’s go-to-market readiness, identify gaps in preparedness and build plans to ensure that the team is properly trained and equipped to meet goals.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or in a customer-facing role on a professional services team. People management experience for a team of solution architects.
Experience with technical sales strategies and working cross-functionally.

Preferred qualifications:
Experience using Google Cloud or other cloud products.
Demonstrated track record of facilitating development and communicating robust solutions to technical and business audiences.
Demonstrated understanding of private, public and hybrid cloud design considerations/limitations in the areas of virtualization and global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing and networking and security.
Understanding of cloud hosting, broad architectural principles in security, distributed computing and developer operations.
Excellent listening, critical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to travel up to 40% of the time as required.
