THE OPPORTUNITY:
Transtar is seeking a Logistics Analyst who will be a key member of the Logistics Team and will report to the Logistics Manager. The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Final Mile fleet, spearheading the fleet safety programs, supporting the branches dispatching programs, and supporting other logistics programs as needed.
This position is hybrid with travel to the office in Walton Hills 1-3 times a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and evaluate Final Mile fleet operations liaising with internal stakeholders, vendors, and logistics team.

Cultivate partnership with vendor to capture any issues and support branch needs expeditiously.

Monitor and report fleet safety initiatives to internal stakeholders.

Resolve issues concerning Final Mile transportation, logistics systems, and customer delivery requirements.

Support the branches with new Final Mile optimized routing software.

Understand TMS in effort to support team as called upon.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, business, or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics

Experience with Telematics software required

Strong technical leadership, organization, teamwork, and communication skills

Strong Microsoft Office skills required

Experience with a Transportation Management System (Mercury Gate preferred)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated impacts in improving final mile delivery and cost containment

Ecommerce delivery experience a plus
