Description:
As Staff Accountant/CPA you will be responsible for the company’s fiscal and financial accounting functions, working alongside the managerial accounting staff to ensure all transaction and other business activity is recorded, verified, consolidated, and entered correctly. You will also establish and maintain US GAAP policies and procedures, facilitate internal and external audits, ensure the integrity of accounting systems and processes, and provide financial and fiscal analysis and reporting as required. With the company’s international ownership and dynamic industry and financial institution relationships, the Staff Accountant/CPA will have a great deal of immediate responsibility, as well plenty of opportunity for professional growth within the company.

Duties:

  • Establish & Maintain US GAAP Policies and Procedures
  • Establish Internal Controls
  • Chart of Accounts Maintenance & Control
  • Research & Resolution of Accounting Issues
  • Compilation, Analysis, and Presentation of Financial Statements
  • Report on Operational & Financial Key Performance Indicators
  • Review Reports for Variances, Trends, & Financial Position
  • Facilitate Internal & External Audits
  • Regulatory/Financial Reporting
  • Advise Company on Technical Accounting Issues and Compliance
  • Research & Reconcile Discrepancies, Audit and Verify Documents
  • Period-End Close Process Management
  • Establish & Manage Company Filing & Record Keeping (Virtual & Physical)
  • Reconciliation of Bank Accounts, Credit Lines, & Loan Payments
  • Manage Integrity of Accounting and Transaction Software Systems & Processes
  • Tax Compliance (Domestic & International)
  • Oversee Journal Entries (Standard, Recurring, & Adjusting)
  • Audit Administrative and Operational Accounting Processes
  • Payroll Administration

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Thorough Knowledge of US GAAP Required
  • Current CPA License Preferred, will consider highly competent CPA Candidates
  • Big 4 Experience Advantageous, but not Required
  • Foreign Currency Accounting
  • LLC Capital Accounts Management
  • Audit/Assurance Experience
  • Wholesale & Manufacturing Accounting Experience Preferred
  • Min 3 Years of Experience, 2 Years within a CPA firm

Working Relationships:

  • Reports to President/CEO
  • External party interaction with Material & Service Providers, Regulatory Bodies, Trade Associations, Accounting Firms, Credit Reporting & Insurance Companies, etc.
  • Internal Interaction with Management, Members, Sales & Administration, Operations & Logistics, and Quality Assurance and Compliance Teams

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $78,000.00 to $82,000.00 /year
