What you’ll be doing...

We are looking to hire a Project Lead foe the Verizon System of Engagement Team. As a Project Lead, you will organize, lead and drive implementation of multiple business critical applications. You'll provide senior level leadership and guidance to the development team. Work as a team member on large, relatively complex technical projects under minimal direction. Meet with clients to understand requirements and develops architectural solutions to simplify business flows and make decisions that impact projects and staff members. Understand company and team standards and leverage best practices to provide optimal solutions. You will guide and direct IT team members daily, ensuring time boxed delivery of prioritized use cases with high level of quality.
Understand the technical aspects and desired business outcomes of the project
Work with Product stakeholders to gather technical and business requirements.
Provide technical leadership for planning, designing, developing and maintaining mobile platform and solutions.
Establish project plan and initiate project mobilization by confirming project scope, estimate, resources, roles and responsibilities.
Provide leadership and decision making support by establishing project governance.
Perform project reporting, including regular stakeholder status reports and overall performance of the project and project completion documentation.
Provide overall direction and analytical guidance to project
Work in all phases of Software Development Life-cycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation and deployment.
Actively participate as Change Management liaison for team and adhere to all Change Management policies, process & procedures.
Ensure Continuous Integration and Build is in place.
Partner with other functions within the technology organization.
Help translate business, and functional requirements into documented technical specifications or User Stories.
What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:
A degree.
Experience in managing multiple projects for Mobile Transport layers and mobile applications. This includes requirement gathering, Agile processes such as sprint planning, Resource management, Cost and budgeting, Change Management.
Experience with mobile technologies (Android and iOS Architecture and Development), information security, and enterprise-level app capabilities etc.
Knowledge of Public Cloud architectures, configurations, services, and solutions (Amazon Web Services Cloud Formation, EC2, ELB, S3, Autoscale, Cloudwatch; or relevant from other providers).
Experience in leading teams and projects from a technical and project management perspective.
Experience in organizational leadership and management skills; succession planning, performance managaement, complex decision making.
Excellent relationship development abilities internally and externally.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously of varied scale and complexity on schedule and within budget.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience including Analysis, Design and Review of Business and Software Requirement Specifications.
Strong knowledge of project life-cycle methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall and RUP.
Knowledge of software development best practices, distributed computing, design patterns.
Strong problem solving skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues.
Fluency with tools such as JIRA Boards, One confluence, Clarity, etc.
Knowledge of tools such as Crystal Reports and SharePoint.
Knowledge of system design, networking and hardware at an enterprise level.
Strong technical/analytical skills, interpersonal skills, decision-making and leadership abilities.
Working knowledge of RDBMS including Oracle, Aurora Postgres.
Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills.
