Role:
This role with 3GIMBALS is for a curious, diligent, and motivated research lead with a broad background in geospatial and GEOINT capabilities, who is also a strong writer. In this role, you will collaborate with industry and community experts to produce high-quality reports that explore, evaluate, and convey capabilities and trends in the commercial GEOINT market. You will engage with industry leaders and customers to understand their needs and current and future capabilities and identify how they align with strategy and needs. Candidates must have demonstrated research and technical writing skills, a love for technology, a passion for GEOINT, and agility, drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results that are yours to own. The work requires specialized technical problem solving and ingenuity while working within a team dynamic where each team member is responsible for their contributions. New ideas, concepts, and approaches are encouraged, though they must be evaluated and agreed upon before adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with product owners and technical representatives of emerging technology in the commercial space, geospatial, and data analytics fields
- Research, synthesize, review, and edit reports that articulate a commercial capability or offering across emerging technology domains
- Gather, organize, and confirm the accuracy of market research information with ease through primary and secondary research, including interviews with subject-matter experts
- Ability to confidently lead industry engagement and outreach sessions to gain additional context to market research to discover, learn, and deliver comprehensive reports to the government
- Confidence to brief both NGA and NSG on market research, project findings, and deliverables
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
- Savvy writer and wordsmith with solid editing skills
- Decompose technical literature and merge disparate data points into cohesive products
- Self-starting individual performer and collaborative team player able to interact with leaders within NGA, the Intelligence Community, and the Department of Defense
- Eagerness to learn about emerging technologies
- Possess a Top Secret Security Clearance w/ SCI
Desired Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in standard computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Geospatial and imagery analytics expertise
- Strong research skills with the ability to explain sophisticated technology to a variety of audiences
- Creative thinker who imagines new ways to interpret, visualize, and display data and how to apply emerging technologies to different problem sets
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
- Five+ years of experience supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
