About Us: Introducing Zero Lounge, the ultimate Y2K-inspired craft cocktail bar. Located in the heart of Hollywood and opening in September, Zero Lounge is an ode to the Y2K era, where the past meets the present in a fusion of retro flair and modern mixology. Our mission is to provide a unique and unforgettable experience that combines craft cocktails, nostalgic vibes, and top-notch service. Training will begin in mid September. Opening end of September/Early October. MUST BE AVAILABLE NIGHTS/WEEKENDS.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the bar, including staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with CA health code regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Oversee drink preparation, presentation, and quality to meet customer expectations.
- Handle cash transactions, monitor revenue, and implement effective cash handling procedures.
- Utilize bartending skills to support bar operations when needed.
- Collaborate with ownership and operational management to create innovative menus and maintain high-quality standards.
- Foster a positive work environment by leading and motivating staff members to deliver outstanding service.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge of our menu, ingredients, and drink preparation methods as well as how we prepare classic cocktails
- Oversee that staff is responsible when serving alcohol to customers
- Ensure staff meets our hygiene standards
- Help with scheduling staff and overseeing shift coverage
Qualifications:
- Experience as a bar/restaurant Manager in a faced paced environment (1+ years)
- Strong background in bar preparation, cash handling and bartending.
- Extensive knowledge and strong interest in craft-cocktails, mixology and spirits. Knowledgeable in beer and wine.
- Must be able to create and maintain a team atmosphere and ensure that employees are appropriately trained and have an adequate workload.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage industry standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Meet and more.
- Skilled in using POS systems and inventory management (Preferably with TOAST).
- Experience in training staff and scheduling according to budgeted business needs.
- Solution-focused, receptive to constructive criticism and general performance feedback.
- Well-versed in opening, closing and regular operating procedures of working in a bar.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- RBS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
