Coordinates performance measurement and improvement activities among all departments including patient safety. Reviews and analyzes clinical information about key aspects of patient care and collaborates with directors, managers, and physicians to improve patient care, safety, and service. Develops plans to improve patient safety utilizing current industry best practices. Improves clinical outcomes and patient care related to patient safety with an emphasis on evaluation and improvement of medication administration processes. Develops and implements accreditation and licensure compliance strategies. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Performs other duties as assigned by the QM Director.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Bachelor degree in nursing preferred. Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program required.
Work Experience:
Requires a minimum of two years experience and proven performance as a healthcare professional. Prior experience in quality assurance and utilization management preferred. Must have knowledge of accreditation standards and current concepts of performance improvement. Management skills and organizational ability are required. A working knowledge of data processing systems and data analysis is required.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Current License with the MS State Board of Nursing
