PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
This position has overall responsibility for the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Site Quality Programs, conforming to the policies of Final Control Lifecycle Services. Incumbent has the capacity to contribute specialty expertise to any area of the organization where skill-set is applicable. In addition, will review and advise on documentation related to the inspection and testing phases of our products. The Regional Quality Assurance Manager is also responsible for guiding managers and employees to standards related to site procedures.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Manage processes related to material and test certificates from internal and external sources including Nondestructive evaluation (NDE) and special process documentation
Manage Inspection and Test Plans
Interfacing with third party inspection agency for review & acceptance of nuclear orders
Management of documentation processes
Manage creation of manufacturing certificates and documentation packages
Customer interaction related to product quality.
Review and ensure conformance to customer technical specifications, customer order requirements, code requirements and internal procedure and technical requirements
Management of non-conformance, corrective action and preventive action processes
Compile and analyze quality measurement data
Responsibility and maintenance for the quality assurance programs and registrations.:
ISO 9001 and CSA N285.0
R, S, Safety Related Appendix B & ASME Code NPT
Maintain the site Qualified Supplier and Approved Supplier Lists
Complete and/or facilitate supplier evaluations and audits
Interface with product engineers, representatives, suppliers, 3rd party inspection agency and customers to resolve quality issues and field any questions that arise.
Co-ordination of annual internal quality program, customer surveillance, third party inspection, and regulatory agency audits.
Responsibility for QA requirements and leading the QA audit program
Other duties as assigned
Ability to influence management at remote locations in regions setting
Attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of materials, primarily ferrous materials
Knowledge of Non-Destructive Examination Techniques
Knowledge of welding processes
Knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel and related Codes
General PC skills including familiarity with software applications such as Word, Access, Excel
Good verbal & written communication skills
Basic math proficiency
Problem solving capabilities
Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in related field and 5 years of experience or equivalent experience and education.
Normal day to day office physical requirements, including deskwork, and visits to the shop area.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing site
Ability to complete 30-50% travel.to customer and supplier locations,
Ability to walk for long periods on varying terrains.
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds
