Job Description Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager - Hospitality & Multi-Family will develop, implement and manage the business plan for key Uponor US accounts and customer groups in the hospitality & multifamily channel and commercial national accounts. These groups include but not limited to; national & regional hospitality/MF chains, hotel/MF ownership groups. They will also represent Uponor at specific industry tradeshows.
Coordinates with regional sales directors, sales managers and reps to execute National Hospitality plans. Continually seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives
Provides leadership, direction, and support to Uponor sales groups regarding opportunities and action necessary to secure and maintain business. Provides progress reports as required (minimum monthly) to S & M management. Works with National Sales Manager – Hospitality/Multi-Family to develop guidelines and a model that can measure quantifiable sales growth that is attributable to this position.
Evaluates current status and positioning of Uponor’s position relative to customer groups.
Trains, educates, motivates, and sells the Uponor vision and product offering to defined customer groups.
Develops a 5-year strategic plan with recommendations for path forward that will mutually serve Uponor and defined customers groups.
Works with National Sales Manager – Hospitality/Multi-Family to develop guidelines and a model that can measure quantifiable sales growth that is attributable to this position. Trains, educates, motivates, and sells the Uponor vision and product offering to defined customer groups.
Provides direction to and work closely with marketing and customer relations regarding trade show and other important industry events.
Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives
Requires a Bachelor’s degree coupled with 10+ years direct industry experience, or equivalent experience; including prior Sales Management experience.
Sound technical understanding of plumbing.
Proven experience with construction trade, homebuilders, plumbing contractors, manufacturers’ representatives, and wholesale distribution.
Good understanding of legal process and contract law pertaining to purchase / distribution agreements.
Demonstrated finance competence.
Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
Proven and demonstrated leadership ability.
A self-starter with strong independent work skills, prioritizing activities, understanding opportunity costs.
Ability to thrive and work in a team environment.
Extensive travel required.
