Business Strategy Associate, Google Shopping

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with strong day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As a Business Strategy Associate for Google Shopping, you will demonstrate project management, executive communications, and analytical skills and business judgment to support strategic decisions and drive strategic initiatives across the full suite of Shopping Products. You will enable an externally facing Business Development team, effectively manage programs, and align internal teams and functions.

Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The team partners with Publishers and App Developers of all sizes to promote their ad inventory, working with Google's broad range of partner solutions including AdSense, AdMob and Google Ad Manager, across mobile, display, and video formats, helping our partners and their audiences get the most out of the web. In addition, the Partnerships team supports Google’s own product teams with essential partnerships to help power Google’s user experiences in search, maps, travel, shopping, payments and more.

Leverage strategic insights and operational rigour to enable externally facing Business Development team to achieve strategic objectives.
Manage multiple global initiatives concurrently, interfacing with multiple internal stakeholders.
Direct and conduct complex analyses, solve strategic and operational problems and identify key insights.
Communicate results and insights with cross-functional leaders, e.g., through presentations and ongoing analysis and reports.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical, quantitative, or business-oriented field or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred qualifications:
1 year of experience in Strategy Consulting or Investment Banking.
Understanding of commerce enabling products, logistics and the retail industry.
Familiarity with Google Shopping’s transactions products including Assistant, Google Express and Purchases on Google, including product and legal framework.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and drive change across all levels and regions within an organization.
Interpersonal and communication skills to formulate and articulate business, financial and other points of value with partners and other teams.
